Privacy & Filming Disclaimer

UManyano Lwe Jazz (ULJ) is a cultural experience committed to creative expression, community celebration, and the respectful documentation of South African artistry.

Please note that the ULJ 2025 event will be filmed and photographed over the full two-day period, 6–7 December 2025, for purposes including but not limited to:

•Archival documentation
•Festival promotion
•Media coverage and storytelling
•Streaming and curated content for digital platforms

In line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), ULJ wishes to inform all attendees that:

•By entering the festival venue, you provide your voluntary and informed consent to be photographed or filmed. Imagery may include crowd shots, artist-audience interactions, and general festival atmosphere.
•Where individuals are featured prominently, the ULJ team will make reasonable efforts to seek direct consent before publishing any such media for commercial or public-facing use.
•All data collected will be handled in accordance with POPIA, with care taken to ensure that no personal identifiers (e.g. names) are disclosed without explicit consent.

Should you not wish to be recorded or appear in any footage, kindly notify the Media Team on arrival, and a member of the team will provide guidance on designated low-exposure areas or identify you discreetly to the camera crews.
